Tribikram Panda

Dr. Tribikram Panda, after completing of his MD (Medicine), joined as a DM fellow in the prestigious institute of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi. He is very much inspired towards one of the most dynamic field of medical science in today’s era, Hematology and Hemato –oncology where targeted therapy with a complete cure at the molecular level is the goal. For him, timely treating life-threatening leukemia and blood disorders is not only about therapy, but also bonding with the patient and their family members who need emotional and family support during their tough times. He believes in  holistic patient and family-centric therapy based on evidence. He has done autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplants (including Matched unrelated donor transplants, and Haplo identical stem cell transplants) for a variety of hematological disorders as mentioned below. His area of interest is transplantation in Aplastic Anemia, and Hemoglobinopathies. He has done blood less autologous stem cell transplantation in Jehovah witness patients as well as in transplant eligible Multiple Sclerosis cases. According to him, transplant is not only a number. It’s about individualization of each cases, timely choosing the right patient for the right treatment with a good counseling for best outcome and a good quality of life. He believes in the principle that patients can be cured from wisdom apart from knowledge.
